This dataset includes granular government policy and spending data in response to COVID-19 for 88 countries over the period 2020-2021. It was collected manually from public online data sources over two years by Oxford University research assistants. The data was validated using three processes: international peer review, blind side-by-side human review, and with a unique application of recurrent neural network (RNN) models. Further details are available in a peer-reviewed research paper: .
