Quantitative Corpus Linguistic Study on Indonesian Causative Rival Affixes PER- and -KAN

Published on by Gede Primahadi Wijaya Rajeg
This study investigates the semantic, formal, and distributional constraints on the use of per- and -kan as rival affixes in deriving causative transitive verbs from adjective bases (cf. Sneddon et al., 2010, p. 103). We also investigate the productivity of the two affixes. We adopt quantitative corpus linguistic methodology and the usage-based, constructional approaches.
