Colour Identity of Place: A Case Study of Leicester, UK

This project is based on the practice conducted from October 2016 to August 2017 during the second year of PhD study. The research take a visual ethnographic approach to the research question: how does colour contribute to constructing the place identity in urban environments? The fieldwork evolved four case studies: Narborough Road, Belgrave Road, Highcross, and King Power Stadium, which mainly included four components of practice: interviews, visual research, colour analysis and archival practice.
