I am a Scientific Board member and project leader in theresearch organization NeuroLandscape for the international research program titled: Planting Seeds of Empowerment: Actions to Promote Healthy Communities. I am also a Core Associate at the Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS). In the last years I have taught to architecture and urban design students in Latin American counties, UK, and Asia. In July 2020 I was awarded a Ph.D. in Architecture and Social sciences by the University of Nottingham (UK). For the last decade I have been engaged in practice and research projects in Asia and Latin America that aim to contribute to the health and well-being of low-income communities. I have participated in research projects that promote place-making through nature connection in order to find alternatives to cope with heavy urbanised cities. In my design and research work, multi-disciplinary approaches have been explored to create new models for promoting healthy urban environments.
