I am a geoscientist (Ph.D. in Marine Geosciences) with a long-standing passion for coastal environments and a genuine fascination with coral reef terrace sequences. Understanding past sea-level oscillations is essential to gauge the future patterns of sea-level rise, in response to warmer climate conditions. My research seeks to investigate the sea-level oscillations in this the Last Interglacial (~122 ka ago), one of the best climate analogs to study the possibility of abrupt sea-level changes within an interglacial (such as it is today). For this purpose, I am interested in morphogenesis of present and fossil coral reefs, in order to better constrain the processes that generate them, including: sea-level. To do this, I use all sorts of techniques (modeling, topographic and geochemical analysis, etc.). I am therefore a multidisciplinary coastal geologist who likes to go into the field as much as to run models.
