Central North West London (CNWL) Mortimer Market Viral Hepatitis Team: Report on Clinical Services and Quality Improvement and Research

This is a short report to describe the activities of our clinical team at Mortimer Market (London, UK), where we provide care for people living with chronic (long-term) viral infections.

The report provides an introduction to our services and activities, particularly focusing on viral hepatitis.

We describe our approaches to improving service delivery, including provision of peer support, and a close working partnership with the University College London Inclusion Health Programme. We also describe some of the work we are doing to gather new data and evidence, which will allow us to further improve care provision. For example, we are interested in small blood volume collection (permitting home monitoring), and better assessment of the relationship between viral hepatitis and other causes of liver disease, such as metabolic/fatty liver disease.
