I am a group leader at the Francis Crick Institute and a Professor of Infectious Diseases at University College London. My primary research focus is epidemiology, immunology and genetics of chronic hepatitis B infection, with a special interest in populations in southern Africa. I am an honorary clinical consultant in Microbiology and Infectious Diseases at University College London Hospitals and Central North West London NHS Trust. I have interests in data visualisation, public engagement, and developing educational resources.
