The purpose of the publication: to demonstrate what results can be obtained by applying bibliometric analysis to data obtained from one query, to one database and using widely used free programs: notepad ++, SmoothCSV and VOSviewer [1].

When performing the work, the Scopus bibliographic and abstract database was used.

Bibliometric analysis will include two stages:

1. Drawing up a general landscape of scientific research on bibliometric data;

2. A more detailed analysis based on the comparison of data in worksheets.

The main query to the abstract database was compiled taking into account: keywords in previously collected publications, the influence of the selected keywords on the results in the Scopus database, and the restrictions imposed by the query string in the Scopus database. The final request received after a series of iterations has the form:

query : (TITLE-ABS-KEY((risk OR hazard) AND (intelligent OR blockchain OR (big data) OR (neural network) OR (digital technologies) OR (advanced analytics)) AND (geolog* OR geophys* OR upstream OR petro* OR ((oil OR gas) AND (well OR drilling OR field OR reservoir)))) AND PUBYEAR > 2009)
