Natchez Monument Committee looking to identify descendants of U.S. Colored Troops
In this news report, leaders of the Natchez U.S. Colored Troops Monument Committee announced they are making progress in their efforts to pay tribute to the black men who served with the U.S. Colored Troops at Fort McPherson in Natchez, Miss. Committee leaders also reported they are looking for descendants of the Colored Troops who served at McPherson, as well as those who served in the Navy, but were born in Natchez.
