Computing the Winter Solstice at Newgrange: Was Neolithic Science Equal To or Better Than Ancient Greek or Roman Science?
This article compares a Neolithic method for determining the day of the winter solstice vs. the Greek and Roman method. This article explains how both cultures made their computations, and why the Neolithic method might be better.
