This article compares a Neolithic method for determining the day of the winter solstice vs. the Greek and Roman method. The stone age science at the Newgrange passage tomb in Ireland, built over 5000 years ago, may be more accurate than the science of the Romans 3000 years later. This article explains how both cultures made their computations, and why the Neolithic method might be better.
