(PowerPoint) Photographs: From the Edge of the Universe to Subatomic Particles: A Modern Slideshow Inspired By the Film, Powers of Ten, By Eames
Using photographs that were not available to Charles and Ray Eames when they made their movie Powers Of Ten, photographer Rick Doble has created a new slideshow from public sources that shows the full wonder of the natural world. These photos go from the very big to the very small, starting with a Hubble Telescope shot of 10,000 galaxies that took a million seconds to photograph and ending with a picture of subatomic particles taken with a nanosecond exposure. This show should be useful for science teachers, educators, artists and others who want to view or show a rich and detailed view of the natural world. Available here on Academia.edu as a PDF document or a PowerPoint show.
