Storing NGS data: the good, the bad and the oligo

Short six minute presentation on the use of DNA for storing digital data as presented at the 7th Next Generation Sequencing Symposium, 17 May 2017, Southampton. The presentation reviews some of the work in the field including the techniques used for DNA data storage, the costs, the limitations and how DNA data storage compares with conventional IT solutions for long-term data archiving.
