Matthew Addis

Chief Technology Officer
Southampton, UK
Founder and Chief Technology Officer of Arkivum Ltd and previously a research group leader at the University of Southampton IT Innovation Centre. Current research includes applying digital preservation, data archiving and research data management techniques for organisations that need to protect and get value from their digital assets. Expertise includes business analysis, data and process modelling, enterprise architecture, information security, risk management and micro-service SaaS systems. Previously, at the University of Southampton, I was a hands-on PI with skills in applied R&D, software development, team leadership and project management in both academic and industrial contexts. Areas of research included grid and distributed computing, semantic web, stochastic modelling, content based search and retrieval, knowledge discovery, data mining and machine learning. Some of the areas I've worked in include: life sciences (genomics, workflows), media and entertainment (content
