Recordings made with AudioMoth at 384ksps 16bit, low gain. The microphone is protected by a 3micron aluminised Mylar film. Recorded at Colney Heath Conservation Area (51.78263, -0.271419) at 20:16 BST on April 4 2018. The 4 minute long recording includes Nyctalus Leisleri (>20kHz), Pipistrellus pipistrellus(fm down to 45kHz), Pipistrellus pygmaeus (fm down to 52kHz) and Myotis daubentonii (broad fm down to 30kHz). The second recording also includes a Noctule and a possible Serotine at the same location. The .png screen shot shows a comparison of the same pass recorded on the Audio Moth at ground level angled at 45 degrees, and a Petterson M500-384 handheld at chest height.
CHC18-1p_20180406_203333.wav and CHC18-1am2_20180406_203154.wav are overlapping recordings made with the AudioMoth and Petterson for direct comparison.
