IDOC (Individual Drosophila Optogenetics Conditioner) is a device to condition batches of up 20 animals simultaneously, as well as to evaluate their learning ability or their memory consolidation, while maintaining individual resolution. We aim to provide the community with a tool they can use to perform longitudinal experiments on the same individual animal, inspecting how a given treatment may affect the animal's ability to learn or consolidate memories. We hope this will in turn help us improve our understanding of the processes controlling learning and memory in flies.
