modified on 2017-02-13, 17:59 The study was conducted from January 2010 to February 2012 in the low-to-middle socioeconomic settings in New Delhi. Blood samples were obtained at baseline from all
the children aged 6-30 months to assess vitamin-D and hemoglobin. ALRI, clinical pneumonia and diarrhea were assessed during biweekly follow up visits for 6 months. Generalized estimating equations (GEE) was done to assess the association between baseline vitamin-D status with ALRI, clinical pneumonia and diarrhea.
