Titanite solubility in silicate melt supporting data

Published on by John Ayers
Results from a study of titanite solubility in silicate melt published in Contributions to Mineralogy and Petrology in 2022. Titanite growth experiments were conducted at Vanderbilt University by graduate student Danny Flanagan. Titanite dissolution experiments conducted at RPI by Rick Ryerson and Bruce Watson. Included are SEM images of run products, results of energy dispersive spectrometry analyses of silicate glass and titanite, a spreadsheet with analysis of the data including fitting of diffusion profiles and a solubility model, and a spreadsheet of phase equilibrium experiments from the LEPR database (Hirschmann2008) that produced titanite.
