Pineal parenchymal tumors

Published on by David Solomon
Representative scanned pathology slides from eight cases of pineal parenchymal tumors including four pineoblastomas (PPT #1-4), three pineal parenchymal tumors of intermediate differentiation (PPTID, PPT #5-7), and one pineocytoma (PPT #8). Included are hematoxylin and eosin stained sections from the eight cases. These were scanned on an Aperio digital slide scanner, and the .SVS files can be viewed using the freely downloadable ImageScope software from Leica Biosystems. These eight cases are described in detail in the following report: Lee JC, et al. Recurrent KBTBD4 small in-frame insertions and absence of DROSHA deletion or DICER1 mutation differentiate pineal parenchymal tumor of intermediate differentiation (PPTID) from pineoblastoma. Acta Neuropathologica, Epub 14 Mar 2019, PMID: 30877433.
