<p>With Cobaltmetrics, <a href="https://thunken.com/" target="_blank">Thunken</a> was on a mission to make altmetrics genuinely alternative.</p>
<p>We monitored research outputs and the attention they received, and we rooted for the underdogs. We tried.</p>
<p>Cobaltmetrics was phased out on December 31st, 2021, but our own research outputs remain available on <a href="https://figshare.com/projects/Cobaltmetrics/64745" target="_blank">Figshare</a> and <a href="https://zenodo.org/search?q=cobaltmetrics" target="_blank">Zenodo</a>.</p>
