Springer Nature and The Wellcome Trust partnered in 2018 to stage 'Better Science through Better Data 2018' (#scidata18).The event held in the world famous Natural History Museum! Now a staple of the research data conferences held each year, the event covered the benefits, challenges and practicalities of managing and publishing research data.
The event focused on the needs of early career researchers, such as data skills, career progression, and good practice for sharing data alongside peer-reviewed publications.
The event provided the opportunity to see real life examples from researchers of innovative approaches to data sharing and reuse, as well as demos of tools and resources available to help them and their research community.
