The mouse cohort was composed of two groups of 22- to 26-week-old male subjects (n=17):
BTBR T+tf/J mice (n=9), which share analogies to all diagnostic symptoms of autism and characteristic functional and structural features of the brain , and C57BL/6J mice (n=8), which are characterized by normal sociability and represent the control group.
