A global dataset of air temperature derived from satellite remote sensing and weather stations
Posted on 2018-11-05 - 11:15
This dataset provides gridded monthly values of air temperatures at a spatial resolution of 0.05 decimal degrees for the period 2003-2016. They have been statistically derived from satellite measurements of land surface temperature by calibrating relationships with air temperature from weather stations based on their climatic and geographic similarities. The dataset also provides the calibrated parameters for these statistical models to facilitate the calculation of air temperature from future satellite measurements.
