These recordings show point light displays of real and false American Sign Language content. Three types of content are present: fingerspelling of real and false city names; real and pseudo-signs, and ASL sentences which are either plausible or nonsensical. All stimuli are presented in four conditions: High/low fidelity of markers on the hands AND/OR high/low number of markers on the face. These stimuli were recorded in the Motion Light Lab in the VL2 Center at Gallaudet University under the direction of Dr. Lorna Quandt. Athena Willis, Jason Lamberton, Conrad Baer and Melissa Malzkuhn contributed to the work, funded by Gallaudet University.
