I am a PhD holder and a research assistant in Department of Chemical Engineering, University of Malaya. I am currently working on the remediation of heavy metal contaminated soil. My research interest is the incorporation of electrokinetic process into soil washing such as Two-stage electrokinetic washing. Besides that, I also study the feasibility of approaching electrode assisted electrokinetic process as a pretreatment method in soil volume reduction before other treatment technologies such as stabilization and solidification is applied. Other than electrokinetic process, I was also involved in the application of hydrophobic ionic liquid as liquid membrane for the removal of organic compounds and heavy metals from water.
