I studied sociology and hold a doctorate in information science. Since 2001 I have been working at the Saarland University and State Library, where I am responsible for third-party funded projects and electronic publications. I am reviewer for several journals in information science and member of various working groups in the context of scientific publishing. I have lectureships at various universities of apllied science in German-speaking countries. Also working as a freelance scientific consultant and journalist.
