After completing M.A. in Economics from University of Bombay in 1978, I began my career as a Lecturer in Economics in Dhempe College of Arts & Science, Miramar, Goa. In 1989 I moved to Govt. College of Arts, Science & Commerce, Sanquelim where I taught till 1994.
In 1995, I took over as District Representative of erstwhile Kothari Pioneer Mutual Fund, overlooking the marketing of the fund in Goa, which gave me an opportunity to work with some of the pioneers of MF industry in India.
From 2003 to 2014 I was a Visiting Faculty at Goa University, teaching two courses – Marketing of Financial Services and Risk Management & Insurance – for the MBA (Financial Services) programme.
In 2014 I began phasing out my teaching and marketing activities to go back to my childhood passion - the search for my roots; though I had no formal training in history, linguistics or anthropology. That was the beginning of my project : Konkani people, their land and language.
