Dr Shahid (https://orcid.org/ 0000-0001-9621-6452) is a Professor in the Department of Water and Environmental Engineering in the School of Civil Engineering of Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). He is a reputed researcher in the field of statistical hydrology and hydro-climate studies. He worked as a researcher and lecturer in many reputed institutes like Asian Institute of Technology (AIT)-Thailand, Rhodes University-South Africa, University of Malaya-Malaysia, Bangladesh Space Research and Remote Sensing Organization (SPARRSO) and Rajshahi University-Bangladesh. He has authored/co-authored 200 peer-reviewed articles in reputed international journals. Total citation of his research articles is 5208 (H-index: 36) in google scholar and 3102 (H-index:30) in Scopus. He supervised 12 PhD and 3 postdoctoral research and complete 12 national and international research projects. He is a frequent reviewer of articles in international journals.
