Shahla Bakhtiari

Associate Professor (History)

Shahla Bakhtiari received his PhD in Islamic History from the Department of Islamic History, Faculty of Literature, Alzahra University. Her thesis title was Religious Policy of the Abbasid Caliphs (First Age). She holds a Master of Science in the Islamic History from Alzahra University with distinguished honors. Her papers/articles have published and presented in the several journals and conferences. She is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of History and also the Vice Chancellor of Alzahra University in Tehran, Iran. Her favorite research field in Islamic history (early Islam, Shiite history, Abbasids) lies in the Islamic Revolution and women's studies. In addition to teaching courses related to the history of Islam at various levels of education, she has guided and supervised several master's theses and doctoral dissertations on these topics and has also published several books and scientific-research articles in this field.
