Pedro Rodríguez Simón is a professional archaeologist who has worked in different fields of research and chronologies, ranging from the Roman world to the recent contemporary past. In addition to other aspects, he specialises in archaeological documentation techniques, in fields that include field recording, data management in GIS environments, photography, photogrammetry and the use of non-invasive techniques such as archaeological geophysics.
He has also participated in various international projects, including several interventions in Sudan with the Humboldt Universität zu Berlin, Djibouti and Ethiopia with INCIPIT-CSIC and Egypt with the Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona.
