I am a researcher interested in establishing the involvement and role of functionally differentiated brain areas in processing and representing language. Specifically, I look at how the automatic activation of sensorimotor representations during semantic access can shed light on the way monolinguals and bilinguals structure their lexicon. To this purpose I use a range of behavioral measures such as reaction time (RT), eye tracking, and semantic judgement tasks, as well as measures of brain activity such as electroencephalography (EEG) and transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS).
