I hold a PhD. I focused on reading, writing and literacy pedagogy in Language Education. I have 23 years of High School experience teaching in developmental English language context gained across the education platform and three years of teaching experience in higher education. I did single-authored papers and solo presentations, but recently my research and my editing work have involved co-authoring with colleagues locally and internationally and research with students since we are also teaching research skills. My focus areas of research are along action-based research projects revolving around the topics: reading and writing practices, literacy pedagogy, and English language teaching with genre-based approach, developmental English context and functional English grammar and usage, visual literacy and video games, bilingualism and translanguaging. I am a constructivist at heart. I have established an enviable and robust research track linking theory & practice.
