Professor Mihajlo (Michael) Jakovljevic MD, PhD is UNESCO – TWAS Academician and the only representative of Serbia ever elected in this body. The World Academy of Sciences, headquartered in Trieste, Italy with its 15 affiliated Nobel laureates, is the leading UN forum for Sustainable Development of the Global South. He continues to serve as an appointed WHO EACHR Committee Member since 2018. He holds JSPS Professorship in Health Economics at the Institute of Comparative Economic Studies, Hosei University Tokyo. He was serving as FORTE funded Senior Visiting Researcher at Division of Health Economics, Lund University Sweden 2018-2020. He has published 250+ full length papers in indexed, high impact journals (Cumulative Impact Factor 2,000+; 56,000+ citations, Hirsch factor 58, I-10 index 154).
