Dr Kinley has a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) from Queensland University of Technology (QUT), Australia. He also holds M.Sc. in (Science & Technology Education) from Mahidol University, Thailand after a Bachelor of Education (Secondary) in Mathematics and Physics from Samtse College of Education under the Royal University of Bhutan. Dr Kinley worked as a Senior Research Officer at Bhutan Council for School Examination and Assessments (BCSEA) under the Ministry of Education, Bhutan. Before that, he taught Mathematics, Physics and Computer Studies in the schools of Bhutan for more than ten years before joining BCSEA. He has published many articles and books in the field of mathematics education, STEM and Gross National Happiness (GNH). He also attended several other courses aimed at strengthening his professional competencies within Bhutan and outside the country.
