Edson Serván-Mori

Edson is a Professor of Economics and Research Methodology in the Division of Health Equity Research at the INSP in Mexico, a Senior Academic Researcher at the INSP’s Center for Health Systems Research, and an Associate Editor of PLoS ONE, Frontiers in Public Health and BMC-Health Services Research. His research focuses on applying econometric and applied statistical methods to study the impact of health and social programs, evaluation of health interventions, and social protection in health among vulnerable groups, focusing on maternal and infant health and NCD disparities. Edson is also a member of the research committee at the INSP, an active collaborator with the GBD study group at the IHME at the University of Washington, and, since 2014, a member of the Mexican National Council of Science and Technology National System of Researchers (SNI, level II), and won the Young Investigator award 2015 from the INSP, and to date he has published over 130 original scientific articles.
