Christian Ott

Christian D. Ott received his PhD in Theoretical Astrophysics in 2007 from the Max Planck Institute for Gravitational Physics and the University of Potsdam, Germany. He was Joint Institute of Nuclear Astrophysics postdoctoral fellow at the University of Arizona and a Sherman Fairchild Prize Postdoctoral fellow at the California Institute of Technology. In 2009, he joined the Caltech faculty as an assistant professor of theoretical astrophysics and was promoted to tenured full professor in 2014. He is a leader in numerical relativity and relativistic astrophysics.
