I am a Senor Scientist at AgResearch in Ruakura, Hamilton, New Zealand doing research into weed management, herbicide resistance and biosecurity risk management. Formerly would characterize myself as a conservation biologist specializing in biodiversity and invasive species management. Worked in New Zealand, Galapagos, and Hawaii. I have (PhD) in evolutionary biology and plant systematics from Florida State University. I did a post-doc working on plant epidemiology problems for roots, tubers and bananas project at University of Florida. Specialties: Phylogenetics, science contracts, weed control methods, strategies, threat mitigation for rare species, prioritization, risk assessment, baseline information, control costs, weed eradication feasibility, description of the problem, policy development. Herbarium curation, specimen digitization.
