I am a research and development engineer currently focused on contract and consulting opportunities. I have a unique combination of experience developing both low level and high level software components for high performance multi-threaded image processing applications. A large part of my career has focused on low level image processing algorithm development, specifically applying optimization techniques such as maximum likelihood estimation to problems in microscopy. In addition I have experience working with the high level framework needed to support low level components. This includes GUI design, 2D and 3D visualization of data and thread management.
