Barun Chakrabarti

Research Fellow on electrochemical energy storage applications (Chemical sciences; Engineering)

Dr. Barun K. Chakrabarti is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in WMG at the University of Warwick (the leading international role model for successful collaboration between academia and the public and private sectors, driving innovation in science, technology and engineering in the UK). He completed his MEng in Chemical Engineering at Imperial College London and a PhD on Regenerative Fuel Cells at the University of Manchester, UK. Then, he worked on biodiesel development activities for a major US oilseeds processing company in Liverpool for 1 year. He then moved on to the University of Malaya (Malaysia) in 2010 as a Senior Lecturer, where he executed several projects on electrochemical wastewater treatment. From 2012 onwards, he returned to Imperial College London as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow, worked there for 7 years, and moved on to WMG. He has studied a wide range of electrochemical technologies for energy and environmental applications.
