Alexandros Avdis

Research Associate in Coastal and Ocean Modeling (Applications in physical sciences)

Imperial College London, Earth Science & Engineering

My background is in Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineering, and I specialised in computational methods with particular emphasis on Computational Fluid Dynamics. I enjoy working with interdisciplinary teams across Aerospace, Chemical and Civil Engineering and collaborate with Scientists and Mathematicians in research and educational contexts. My work has focused on Turbulent Boundary Layers and their separation in highly loaded aerodynamic surfaces, atomisation and droplet entrainment in two-phase flows, and Tidal Renewable Energy.
