Alastair Ross is a senior scientist and metabolomics platform lead at AgResearch. He has a BSc(Hons) from Lincoln University and a PhD from the Swedish University of Agricultural Scientists, Uppsala. He has worked in academia, industry and now government science. His main research activities have been around dietary biomarkers, whole grains and health, and application of fingerprinting mass spectrometry metabolomics to the areas of agriculture and food science. He has an H-index of 37 and written or coauthored around 100 peer reviewed publications and reviews.
