The purpose of this study was to isolate a mature 16D10L peptide gene sequence (Meloidogyne incognita parasitism
gene) from pUC57 in order to clone it to pET11a-link-NGFP: m16D10L vector. The main objective was to clone M. incognita
16D10 parasitism gene for subsequent BiFC assay using recombinant DNA technology and molecular biology tools. The
main aim of this study is to elucidate nature of protein-protein interaction between banana proteins and M.incognita
parasitism gene to allow for identification of the molecular pathway of plant defence against nematode infestation. Thus,
providing essential groundwork for establishment of improve resistant crops.
