Preprints are manuscripts made publicly available before they have been submitted for formal peer review and publication. They might contain new research findings or data. Preprints can be a draft or final version of an author's research but must not have been accepted for publication at the time of submission.
The ongoing outbreak of SARS-COV-2 certainly has major medical and
public health aspects. Engineers and quantitative scientists have much to bring to the table in understanding, predicting and mitigating this and other outbreaks. This course, which will be based on rapidly unfolding knowledge, will give students understanding of the key issues to which
engineers can contribute.
