The Manufacturing Process and System (MaPS) Sustainability Analysis
tool is developed as part of a collaborative research project entitled Constructionism
in Learning: Sustainable Life Cycle Engineering (CooL:SLiCE) [1] supported
by the U.S. National Science Foundation. The MaPS tool enables you to assess
the effect of different product designs on the environmental (energy use and
carbon footprint), economic (cost), and social (number of injuries and
illnesses and days away from work) impacts of manufacturing processes and supply
chain network configurations.
