ERA5 Daily Aggregate Temperature Analysis in Google Earth Engine, 1979-2020

This JavaScript code is meant to be run inside the Google Earth Engine web interface ( https://code.earthengine.google.com/ ). The code processes the ERA5 daily aggregated climate reanalysis, produced by ECMWF / Copernicus Climate Change Service, for a customized region of southern Africa. The script estimates several derived metrics and trends in those metrics for the beginning, ending, and length of the typical rainy season in this geographic area, focused on the number of days that exceed a specified daily maximum temperature threshold. Data exports of the derived raster layers are also provided.
