This comprehensive study delves into the inherent strengths and challenges faced by Qatari families. Using the International Family Strengths Perspective, the research employs a mixed-method approach, combining qualitative data from focus groups and interviews with quantitative insights from the Qatari Family Strengths Inventory (QFSI). The research identifies seven primary family strengths among Qatari families, such as commitment, effective communication, and family resilience. Conversely, it highlights seven major challenges, including societal changes, gender inequalities, and financial issues. Despite the challenges, the study concludes that Qatari families exhibit notable resilience and possess unique strengths. Furthermore, based on the insights, there is a push for the development of educational programs in Qatar, tailored to fortify family relationships. This research could pave the way for broader initiatives in the Arab region, aiming to empower and bolster family units.
