This  is  the  tenth  national  report  from  the  Irish  Hip  Fracture  Database  (IHFD).  To  date,  the audit has captured data on almost 32,000 patients. The Irish Hip Fracture Database National  Report  2022  includes  data  from  3,909cases.  Our  data  provide  detailed  information  about  the  care  processes  and  outcomes  of  patients  and  allow  each  hospital  to  benchmark itself against comparable hospitals in Ireland and internationally. All 16 hospitals have  contributed  data  within  the  IHFD,  with  overall  coverage  reported  at  94%.  This  report  will  demonstrate  how  the  IHFD  is  continuing  to  evolve,  including  an  update  on  longer-term  outcomes development. The IHFD is also delighted to include within this report for the first time the story of a patient who sustained a hip fracture. Given that we have reached our ten-year milestone, this report will also reflect on the journey of the IHFD by presenting reflective pieces from key personnel who have been involved since its establishment.
