Wikidata: Examples of linked open data in Yale Library collections
This presentation was for the Yale University Library Standing Committee on Professional Awareness in celebration of Wikidata's Fourth Birthday.
This presentation is an introductory session about Wikidata, the knowledge base of structured data that anyone can edit! Kat Thornton, digital conservator in the library's preservation department, and volunteer contributor to the Wikidata project, will discuss Wikidata in the context of linked open data. The session will include a live demonstration of the editing interface and demos of some tools available on the web to remix the data. The talk is sponsored by the SCOPA and all are welcome to attend!
