Researchers globally are under more pressure to share their research data than ever before.
Owing to a rise in funder policies and mandates as well as growing momentum towards more openness and transparency across the research landscape.
Although policies for data sharing are in place, often more engagement and advocacy work is undertaken by librarians in order to ensure repository uptake as well as data sharing compliance.
In this presentation, the author discusses the application of theoretical frameworks to engagement and advocacy strategies, the rationale behind this, how it will be rolled out, as well as some practical examples.
