This study proposes a novel approach to optimizing electron and ion flow within lithium-ion batteries to reduce SEI layer formation during charge and discharge cycles, thereby extending battery lifespan. Using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and Finite Element Analysis (FEA), we simulate the dynamic distribution of ions and electrons within the battery and analyze how structural optimization can guide electron flow, minimizing uneven charge distribution and reducing the risk of lithium dendrite formation.
Results indicate that optimizing internal flow paths can mitigate local electron accumulation, enhance the uniformity of lithium-ion distribution, and improve performance stability under high charge/discharge rates. This simulation-based methodology offers a theoretical foundation for the future design of next-generation long-lifespan, high-efficiency batteries.
