Make and Play Ancient Lyre with Barnaby Brown and Guests

October 7th – 12th, 2024

• Make your own lyre and learn to sing, play, and dance like the ancient Greeks.
• Come together for 5 days of hands-on exploration, combining scholarship, whole body learning, and making music together.
• Try singing some Homer, Sappho, and Pindar; then stretch your rhythmic skills with Balkan beats and ancestral Abagusii lyre playing.
• Join a community and gain a handmade instrument plus a bank of material tailored for you: scores and videos of drills, exercises, and pieces.
• Lotos Lab brings archaeological evidence to life. Join us in rousing the music and literature of ancient civilizations from their long silence!
• All levels of experience are welcome.
